ABANDONED SOVIET GYMNASIUMS

A gymnasium, also known as a gym, is a covered location for athletics. The word is derived from the ancient Greek gymnasium. These photos are taken in Soviet gyms across the former Eastern Block and Soviet Union. The Soviet gyms are known for their bright colors and beautiful murals.
